Veneers

If you have long admired the movie star smile with perfectly aligned white teeth, veneers can give you the ideal smile you have always wanted. Teeth veneers are thin covers that fit over the front of teeth to improve the shape, colour and arrangement.

At Dental On Cue, we offer both composite and porcelain veneers, depending on your needs and ideal results.

Why Choose Veneers?

Even if you have several cosmetic flaws that irritate you or take away from your overall appearance, veneers can often correct them all with a single procedure.

  • Mild misalignment
  • Gaps between the teeth
  • Discolouration and stains
  • Worn and chipped teeth
  • Short teeth
  • Gummy smiles
  • Non-uniformity of teeth

The number of veneers that you will need will depend on your goals and the shape of your smile. A single veneer can improve one out-of-place-looking tooth, or a full set of veneers can make you look red carpet worthy.

A full consultation will give you the opportunity to discuss all of your options with your Kew dentist. We invite you to get in touch to book a time to chat and have an evaluation.

What Types of Veneers Do You Offer?

At Dental On Cue, we offer both composite and porcelain veneers.

Composite veneers – Made of the same tooth-coloured material we use for fillings, composite veneers are less translucent, which means they provide better coverage for particularly dark-looking teeth.

Composite veneers do not typically last as long as porcelain veneers, but they can provide an affordable alternative for budget-conscious patients. It is also possible to make composite veneers in a single dental appointment.

Porcelain veneers – Porcelain veneers are made of durable ceramic-like material and have the same light reflective qualities as natural tooth enamel, making them an aesthetic solution to just about any cosmetic dental flaw with a lifelike solution.

How Do I Look after My Veneers?

First and foremost, keeping your teeth and gums clean is essential whether you have veneers or not. It is also important to remember that veneers are a lifelong commitment because we will polish away a small amount of enamel to make them look less bulky.

  • Avoid biting into hard or sticky foods
  • Never use your teeth to open bottles or packages
  • If you grind your teeth, we may recommend a nightguard
  • Stay current with active maintenance visits

You can brush and floss normally, using the same gentle technique we recommend for your natural teeth. We will examine your veneers during your next dental check-up to ensure that they are still looking their best and staying completely intact.
